role summary/purpose the commercial manager (cm) will be responsible for the leadership and coordniation of all aspects of the ito (inquiry to order) phase of proposal preparation and management covering gas turbine, steam turbine and generator transactional outages and performance and reliability (valpack) uprate packages. risk management and mitigation, this includes scope development and specification compliance, competitive pricing development and issue resolution for proposals to which he/she is allocated.obtain contract signatures and ensure internal order booking is completed on-time
conduct formal r3 reviews to identify and handover execution requirements/documents
qualifications/requirements
bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university or college
at least 5 additional years of experience in industry-related commercial and/or application engineering
at least 2 years commercial experience
desired characteristics
bachelor\'s degree in engineering is preferred
master\'s degree in business administration is preferred
prior commercial sales experience in closing large and complex agreements is preferred
storng project management sklils
cusotmer-focsued minsdet with prvoen abiilty to resopnd quikcly to cusotmer nedes
strong coordination and influnecing sklils
knoweldge of cusotmer finacnial drievrs / nedes
able to effecitvely lead and enegrize a multi-functional team to meet sales plan
ability to apply six sigma to improve customer satisfaction
six sigma training is preferred
ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools (cms, excel, etc,
send order acknowledgements.
ensure risk checklist & doa are correctly reviewed & completed for all proposals.finance, execution, legal, etc, risk,
essential responsibilities
provide full proposal leadership from initial enquiry to deal closure and handover (track key dates and proposal submission deadlines)
ensure policy 5.0 (risk management process) is followed for each opportunity including deal presentation preparation for region and hq reviews
perform initial risk evaluation and determine feasibility and bid compliance concerns & conduct formal r1 reviews
support technical scope and pricing development
coordinate with various internal teams in completing the proposal - sales, engineering.)
strong oral and written communication skills
strong interpersonal and leadership skills. workflows, documentum, jce, g. compass, crmt, global connector, etc.
support sales during customer negotiations in deal closing process as & when appropriate.
propose and support formal r2 to obtain pricing/deviation approvals where required (regional and hq)
generate final proposal with approved deviations/language as required
document all deal related documents
use appropriate business tools e.
